The whole procedure goes as follows:

  • The user visits https://cloudduplicatefinder.com and clicks the login button.
  • The user enters the login credentials for the account registered with Cloud Duplicate Finder and clicks Sign In.
  • The user clicks the Add Drive button and then selects the concerning cloud drive from the next menu that pops up.
  • The user will now enter the login credentials for the cloud account they want to scan for duplicate data (Google Drive, OneDrive etc) in the official login portal of the respective cloud service and sign in.
  • The user clicks Yes in the next pop up to signal their approval for Cloud Duplicate Finder to access their data through the official API of the concerning cloud service provider.
  • Once the entire data hierarchy has been loaded, the user selects the folder(s) to be scanned for duplicates and clicks the Search button to initialize the process.
  • Cloud Duplicate Finder creates an image of every single file and then compares it with all the remaining, untested images of the search query to determine if there are any duplicates.
  • Once the scan is over, a brief summary is shown to the user laying out the scan results.
  • The user can then simply apply a criterion to choose which kind of duplicates they want to retain (e.g. oldest, least modified etc) or manually select them.
  • The last step involves the user simply green lighting the duplicate deletion.

Yes. You’re most welcome to try out the Trial User mode of Cloud Duplicate Finder. You can easily scan your cloud drive for free regardless of the data volume, but you’ll have to subscribe to one of the subscription plans before you can either sweep the duplicates or move them to a folder.
